Canon powershot s400 digital elph
 

Hardware: Canon powershot s400 digital elph (digital ixus) using usb connection
Program: Digicam 0.5.1 using KDE 3.1.1
OS: SuSE Linux Professional 8.2 stock kernel k_athlon 2.4.20 with gcc 3.3
Symptom:
Freezed during downloading jpeg image(s) / video avi(s) from the Canon powershot s400 digital elph (digital ixus). This camera is detected automatically using Auto-detect as USB PTP class camera (other digital camera drivers from the list doesn't work). Other USB devices are detected and configured properly thogh ;-)

Anybody know how to make it works? Any info (driver, setup, package, experience) would be appreciated.

How?

keep these two:
/usr/lib/gphoto2/2.1.2dev5/libgphoto2_ptp.la
/usr/lib/gphoto2/2.1.2dev5/libgphoto2_ptp.so

delete these two:
/usr/lib/gphoto2/2.1.2dev5/libgphoto2_ptp2.la
/usr/lib/gphoto2/2.1.2dev5/libgphoto2_ptp2.so


Definitely this digital camera is awsome :-)
