Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120

Hi

I am in big trouble with this printer Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120.
It does not have driver automatically. I have tried to install it for 3 hours without any luck

For a long time Printer State said IDLE.

After CUPS restart I got this message:
Idle - ccp send_data error, exit

I tried delete the printer, turn it on and off, add again etc. I really need to get it work!

Please, help me!

Hi...

Welcome to the forum

First, what distribution and version of Linux are you using and what steps have you taken so far to get your printer to work?

Regards...

Hi
I am using Linux Mint 17.1

So, first of all system did not find the right driver, it suggested LBP-1000 instead. That did not work, so I downloaded driver manually, installed. But even then printer didn't work.

It is recognized but it seems like it does not get the right signal. If I try to print test page, it show "sending" or "processing" but nothing happens.

After that I googled several solutions with CUPS restart and then I just got a new error message. Before that status was "Idle".

I am using Linux for several years and all the devices were connected automatically. Printer itself works fine - I checked that with Windows computer.
