Question Canon i350 printer

Hi!
Does anyone know how to get a i350 running under Linux (Suse 8.2)??
Does any printing system provide drivers that at least allow printing texts?

There are no linux drivers yet for the cannon i-series printers (i330, i550 etc). There is a proprietery driver available from turboprint (http://www.turboprint.de/english.html). I'm using it for my cannon i550. As much as I hate to pay for software, it works well.

Sorry to bring this back up but did you ever find a way of getting this printer running? It's a pain because being a student I need a printer can't really afford a new one and I don't want to have to use Windows.

Any answer is gratefully recieved.

I've tried out a lot, but not one single piece of paper with i350-ink on it yet :-(
I hope that someone will develop drivers soon, it is getting on my nerves to reboot and load windows only to print something out....

That's a bummer. Someone told me to check www.cups.org.
I've tried loading the site but it keeps timing out.

If I find anything I'll post it here.
