Canon i250 Failed Dependencies

I already posted this on linuxprinting.org, just looking for as much help as possible

Ok, I went to that canon new zealand site, i've read their sparse guide (sparse
if you are new to linux), and it seems either you can compile the drivers
yourself or run the rpm.

I've tried both, and neither works.

I'm running fedora core 2 the oldest version, but get the same results with the
newest fc2, as well.

When I run the rpm files it tells me failed dependencies, namely libglade.so.0
and libpng.so.0 . Now I have the precise libglade it is looking for and I dont
know where it is looking for it, as for the libpng I have *.*.3 version of that
file but I assume that should work anyway, I also dont no where its looking for
that file.

By the way I just went with the Workstation Install.

When I try compile the driver everything goes well until I have to do the make
command, basically a bunch of errors in a I suppose key C file stop the whole
thing from working.

Can someone please once and for all in plain english tell me and probably many
people how this is done step by step.

Sorry for the long post.

Well I got the turboprint drivers and it seems to be working well so far.
