Canon Canoscan N67OU in Redhat 8.0

I'm trying to get install a Canon Canoscan n67ou scanner and I can't seem to get it to work. Xsane version 0.90, gives the message that no devices are available. However, my scanner is listed in USB devices. Any help at all to prevent me on putting back Microsh*t and get this working would be greatly appreciated.

do you have the plustek backend installed? http://www.gjaeger.de/scanner/plustek.html

How do I know which one I need? Thanks for the reply by the way.

you might already have what you need. have you ran /usr/bin/sane-config, or /usr/bin/sane-find-scanner?
