I do not know that this question belongs here but i am sure my hardware is causing this problem. i am not able to see the grub page at the boot up . i need to press keys on my keybaord to see the grub page i have an intel original 865 Motherboard on my system with the silent boot option enable i did try booting up with silent boot disabled but that cud not solve my problem i have fedora core 3 installed and is ther any way i can make my grub show up with the list of OS installed for few seconds before booting on to the default OS (like in the previous versions of grub).

please advice. thanks in advance

what do you have timeout set to in grub.conf?

good question

I suspect you have a HIDDENMENU press the escape key after bios splash screen.......most grub menus are at least 5 seconds and you should see something.

2 why don't you just amend your /boot/menu.lst?
