Cannot mount USB drive anymore

Hello all,

I'm using CentOS 4.4. I cannot mount any USB drives. Automount doesn't work, and I don't have any USB-related devices in the /dev directory (I think). I have is /sdaX and /sdbX, and those are my two hard disks.

The weird thing is, CentOS did an automount of an USB disk, but only once, after installing CentOS. It no longer works on any USB drive.

Do you have any suggestions?

As root create a couple of mountpoints, for example type; mkdir /media/USB1

As root create a couple of /etc/fstab entries, for example;

Code:
/dev/sda1                /media/USB1            auto    noauto,users,ro 0 0
If you have more then one partition on the usb drives adjust accordingly.
