Cannot install modem
Hello!
While installing SuSE 9.1 Pro I got a message saying that in order to configure my modem I needed package intel-536ep. I didn't know how to get it so I continued with installation.
Later from another machine I downloaded intel-536ep-6.62-15.i586.rpm and tried installing it on SuSE.
I immediately got an answer:
failed dependencies: /etc/modules.conf
This file exists on the system, but it is empty. I suppose it should have some notion of the modem, but there is nothing there...
localizer; slow down, do not stress-out just look carefully at what you wrote on post? seems overlooked suse rpm,s where i536ep was. dwnld from another os maybe counter-productive. try again but slowly, patiently
methodically. you,ll work it through!
