Cannot enable USB port

Hello !

Here is the problem : everytime I connect my digital camera I find in "/var/log/messages" a message "HUB 1 : cannot enable port 1 Maybe the usb cable is bad?". The fact is that the cable is fine, because on MicroShit window$ everything works; USB support in my Fedora Core 2 also works OK - I have a Nokia 5510 cell phone and when i plug it in the system rocognizes it; other thing is that I can't mount it, but I'm just about to solve this problem (I think that phone's memory needs to be formatted); all this prooves that usb support in my linux system works; so why it can't initialize port when I plug in my digital camera? btw, this camera is Kodak CX6230 and I'm running 2.6.8-1.521 kernel;

Any idea is greatly appreciated :)

P.S. I'm not sure if It's a hardware problem; It may be a problem with software (usb drivers);

Sorry I can't help you with your camera, but there's already a thread on Nokia 5510.
