Cannot Access USB Thumb Drive

I am running Knoppix 6.3 and cannot access the file I have on
a usb thumb drive. I am the only user of the computer & have
root access with admin privilegs. Still I cannot access any of the files on the usb thumb drive. Can anyone help me find a way to access the files? Help.

Did you create a mount point, mount it and indicate the filesystem type? What exactly have you tried to access it?

Access files with what?
Your web browser?
A media player?
A Word processor?
A file manager?

Knoppix should auto mount it
BUT it is a live os on a cd

Also knoppix 6.3 is OLD ,very old
and was only released in the back of "Linux Magazine "
technically it is not even owned by knopper and is not supported
you will not be able to find it to download on the knoppix site
http://www.linux-magazine.com/Issues...zine-DVD-Inlay

version 7.2 is the current , you might want to burn that to a cd

@brainwaste,
is the file on your thumb drive knoppix 7.2.iso?
are you looking for a way to 'burn' it ?

Or is it a Firefox package?
