Cool Cannon Pixima mp130 support

It is not listed as supported, but does anyone know of a driver anywhere, or some other way to print with this machine. Lack of camera support doesn't bother me mutch I can stick my card in a card reader, but I wish printer vendors would crawl out from under MS and Apple's shadow and provide nix drivers for thier wares.

I use the paid turboprint driver. It cost me $42 Canadian. Not sure if you are interested in that route, but it prints better detail in linux on turboprint than it does in Windows with the Canon driver. Your all in one is supported by turboprint, but of course this is a printer driver and not for scanner end of it.

Interesting, i will consider it. Thanks.
I wish there were some way to put more pressure on venders to include nix drivers with thier products, it is imo thier rsponsibility to thier customers, regardless what OS they run.

For the time being, to get an idea of what turboprint will do, you can go their website and download and install it. You can print with it without paying for it and get an idea of how good it is and wether it is worth it to you. There will be a "turboprint" banner printed on your picture until you pay for a key to remove it, but you will see how your printer will perform with it so you can make an informed decision.

The Canon driver for the IP1500 printer sort of works with the mp130 too--download it from the Canon web site.
