Cannon cameras

Does anyone know if Canon EOS 350D or Canon Powershot S3 I work with Linux ?

At least 350D works great. I have 400D, which is almost the same as 350D and it works too..with libgphoto2 most probably both of those cameras work. Check out the website of gphoto2 for a list of supported cameras; I'm not sure about the Powershot since I don't know what kind of camera it is (if it's a regular USB digicam, it works quite surely) but with EOS 350D you can get the raw pictures on board too and convert them to other formats using ufraw which is based on dcraw. 350 is supported by ufraw so you can easily fix the images (to some extent) using that..400D is so new the ufraw doesn't know all the settings' correct values yet, but for 350 it works, so in addition to the jpg pictures you can deal with raw images too.

So, shortly: yes, they work (350 for sure).
