Can someone post their xorg.conf mouse settings for mx310 please

Hi all,

I'm using slackware 10.2 with a logitech mx310 usb mouse.

I can get the wheel to work but not side buttons.

I've tried numerous things I've found on the internet but no luck.

Could someone kindly post their mouse section of their working xorg for this mouse?

I'm really just looking to get the side buttons to work in firefox to do the "go-back webpage" and "go-forward webpage commands"

Thank you in advance.

I have one of these mice as well. I've never gotten the extra buttons to work either.

The X server actually handles them just fine, but apps (such as Firefox) don't know about them. If the Mouse Gestures extension supported these buttons, our problem would be solved.

OK thank you.

As goofy as it sounds, and you may have to read this twice, LOL, but I can get the wheel to do back/forward and the side buttons to do scroll up/down.

I just cant get it to be like a normal mouse, really weird.

Thanks tho.
