Question Can not add data to hdd

Well-ehem. Problem is that i can not add images to my 3tb hdd (seagate).
I have done: Properly installed OpenSuse Leap 15.01 with kde plasma.Printer,Geforce card, ssd etc works very fine.
But that i can not move my images etc to my hdd- i got only message:access denied and yes my hdd is mounted. Should i delete partition and create new one? How? Can someone tell me how (like to little child).I ask this because i am newbie and i love my new OS!

You are logged in as a user that has no rights to write to that HDD.

I would say that you did not mount the disk in the intended way. First attempt at a solution: Unplug, then replug it. It should normally be mounted automatically with the correct permissions.

If this doesn’t help, fix the permissions. This can probably be done from the GUI by right-clicking the directory where you want to copy the files to. Or use the command line, e.g.: chown USER DIRECTORY, where USER is your user account and DIRECTORY is the destination directory.

On what directory is that disk mounted? You can use the mount command to find out. Then determine its ownership and read/write permissions from the parent directory with ls -l (the -l option gives you a long listing).

For example, I have in Slackware a directory /mnt/lfs on which I occasionally mount my Linux From Scratch system. If I type "ls -l /mnt", I get several lines, one for each subdirectory, of which one is:
drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 4096 May 6 17:50 lfs
This tells me at once that root owns the directory /mnt/lfs and has write access to anything mounted on it (rwx means read-write-execute), but other users do not (r-x). Changing the ownership with chown as suggested above should fix that if I actually wanted to write to it.
