Can DDR and DDR2 be together?

Hi all,
I have a sempy system with 256MB DDR400 memory. I'm thinking of upgrading my system to core2duo and to have a DDR2 667 memory with it. Can I use the current DDR400 stick then?
i.e. is it possible to have DDR400+ DDR2 667 or DDR2 667+ DDR2 533+ DDR400 kind of combinations.

Regards,
SV

You can't combine DDR 1 memory with DDR2 memory. You can however use 2 different speeds of DDR2 mem like 667 with 800. The 800mhz will automaticly get on 667mhz speed.

Though i would recommend just buying 2 sticks of the same speed. incl. same cas latency and such.
