Can't eject iPod as normal user, but works as root

When I try to eject my iPod, it gives me an "Invalid arugement" error as a normal user, but it works fine as root. I've searched several forums on this issue, and most of them say something about removing the sbp2 module, but that's statically linked into my kernel. I've tried all sorts of things to fix this, including makin sure that my user is in the disk group (this allows me to eject cdrom's, so I thought it would work for the iPod, but it doesn't )

Has anyone figured out how to make an ipod eject as a regular user? Thanks for the help.

What mount options are passed within your /etc/fstab to mount the ipod?

Here they are. It's automounted using hal and gnome-volume-manager.

/dev/sdf2 /media/IPOD vfat user,exec,noauto,utf8,managed 0 0

What would happen if you changed "user" to "users"? Last time I checked, that should make it to where anybody can mount/unmount disks (such as your iPod--a USB disk to the computer).
