Can't Tune Radio w/ FlyVideo2000FM (SAA7130HL) on Fedora Core 2
I bought a FlyVideo2000FM TV Tuner and I can't get it to tune any radio station correctly. The TV (both Air and Cable) are working great. When I launch any radio tuning software (xawtv's radio, gqradio, etc.) I get nothing but white noise. If I set the input to Television with
v4lctl setinput Television I start to get some sound but with a lot of interference and the radios are not in the right frequencies. I asked on the v4l mailing-list and all I got was another dude with the same problem. Welcome to LQ. Unfortunately I can't answer your question personally, but if you have not done so already, I would recommend doing a Search of the other posts here at LQ, as well as Google for Linux I don't know if those will bear fruit, but that's where I'd begin. I wish you luck in your project. -- J.W.

I spent many many hours googling. After subscribing to LQ I did a search with no useful results either. It seems that there aren't many users out there with the same combination of encoder, standards and distro. Thanks for the answer, though. I'm about to give up anyway.
