Can't stop X server


hey
I've jsut got linux and install Fedora Core 4. I've downloaded the Nvidia Driver, but when I write init 3 and press ENTER this happen

start pcmcia: [ o. k. ]
start lm_sensors: [ o. k. ]
start anacron: [ o. k. ]


and then it stop and I can't write anything... I can only click Ctrl + Alt + Del

please help me...!

If you get stuck like that again try ctrl-alt-F6 to get to a terminal so you can killall x. You will need to edit your xorg.conf so that it uses the nvidia driver. Open /etc/X11/xorg.conf and change the graphics device section.
Here's mine.

    Driver      "nvidia" <--change the driver to nvidia  like this.

Sometimes you may just need to press Enter to get a prompt. I've seen this happen in the past.
