can't start xwindow
Installed latest Debian release but unable to configure X, just will not configure at all no matter what settings I try. Can anyone give me any advice such as generic settings I may try? Thanks in anticipation, everything was successfully installed.

Are you running
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 Try the vesa driver. It is the generic one. |
yes i already run dpkg-reconfigure but there error message
"no screen found " fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on x server "0:0" after 0 request(0 know processed) with 0 event remaining |
It doesn't like the configuration. Post your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file.
EDIT: The screen it's referring to is the "screen" section of the file above. And the subsections that section refers to. |
