I'm running windows/linux with lilo as bootmanger. I don't think that this was always the case I switched monitors when I took my computer to college this week. I just got this new mobo and reinstalled and have everything working at home. When I restart in linux or windows it will not restart. It makes the post beep and then you can hear the harddrives spining but no video. It does not hang from what I can tell, sounds exactly the same as when it sucessfuly boots up. The only why to get video to work is that I have to and sometimes more than once shut down the system. I have no idea what is the problem, my only guess is windows.

Am I understanding you right, your problem started after you moved your system to college? Have you opened it up and made sure nothing came loose? sounds to me like something got jared.
