Can't Install Slackware 11 from SATA dvd drive
Hiya all, This has been the best place to go to for answers so here I am yet again with a new problem.
I go through the fdisk process and get to the point where I setup my swap and my other partitions then select setup and it searches and never finds the DVD drive. I think this is because it is a SATA dvd but am not sure. Any help/suggestions? Thanks. |
SATA dvds don't work with BSD or Solaris either so I had to use a PATA dvd drive instead. Now, Slackware 11 wasn't the most progressive one and I wouldn't be surprised if you had more luck with Slackware 12, which has a far more recent kernel.
