Can't get Tascam US-122 USB soundcard to work

Hi guys

I'm running Ubuntu Studio on an Compaq Presario R3000 laptop that happens to have an Nforce integrated soundcard.
I'm trying to get my US-122 USB soundcard to work.

I followed this tutorial:
http://alsa.opensrc.org/Tascam_US-122

But to no avail, it doesn't work, the green light doesn't pop on. I think the problem lies in the last step of the tutorial with the UDev because everything else copied over and downloaded and what not. I went to some other forums and they said it was a quotations problem, but I don't know how to fix it...

Anyhelp?

Thanks

Are you aware that the single quotes such as the one in the quoted text above, are the backtick (the key left of the number one on US keyboards)?

Well, I wasn't aware, but I copied the text directly using the copy paste function, so wouldn't that take care of it?

You'd think so, but it is still not working

FIXED IT.

Apparently, the tutorial was actually flawed. They fixed it on the Ubuntu forums. Here's the thread.
