Can't detect sd card on void linux

I have a micro sd card inserted in an adapter that can't be read by my pc.
I try lsblk
but nothing extra shows up.

Even dmesg doesn't register anything

lsusb shows that I have a Realtek Semiconductor Card Reader.

Tried reinstalling udisks2 and that didn't work

If you need further information just tell me.

Does it work in any other live distro? Does that particular card work?

Card Reader is seen -- Card is not seen.

Try the card somewhere else. If it cannot be seen there -- throw it away.

I don't know as I can't test it but it should I bought it and only used it once. I also tried a working card with the same micro sd card adapter and that also doesn't work. maybe the adapter is borked.

That is possible if it won't read a different card as well. Is the reader for a full size card and you are using an adapter to mount the micro card? or is the reader for a micro card? Your post showed the card reader is seen so however you are trying the card it can only be one of 3 things: The card reader, the micro card, or the adapter card (if used)

I just bought a new USB card reader that will mount both sizes of SD cards without using the adapter card. Not really that expensive.

also some USB SD card readers get confused when you plug multiple different cards into it or when swapping cards without disconnecting the USB first.
