Can't change permissions for FAT32-HD

I have a network running with a Debian server and win9x clients.
There is a FAT32 HD in the server, shared with the clients.
My problem is, that I can't change the permissions for the HD to also allow other user to write on it.
Each time I give write permissions to a group, etc. it resets to the old setting automatically.
What can I do?

you CAN'T change permission on FAT32. This filesystem was never made to support permissions. If you want to right on it, give the option "umask=000" when mounting.
