Unhappy Can't burn a CD with Fedora Core 3

For a year I have not gotten Fedora Core 3 to burn a CD on an HP Pavillion 533w. On copying to the CD drive, the error message is:

/dev/hdc: Invalid argument
mount:/dev/hdc: can't read superblock
Please check that the disk is entered correctly.

The Windows XP patrition is there but I can't access and I am trying to install Suse 10.1 but I have to burn the CD's.

Thanks

What do you mean by copying to the cd drive?

As for your windows partition do you mean that you can not boot windows, if so what boot loader are you using (ie, LILO or grub, or maybe some other)

Welcome to LinuxQuestions!

So you do not have to wait a year for the answer

linux does not have drag and drop writing capabilities like windows (unless your using UDF packet writing but never mind that at the moment) k3b is a very good GUI CD/DVD linux writing application. The command line CD burning utility is called cdrecord.

Fedora is not provide by default NTFS support. For read only support download and install the RPM:
http://www.linux-ntfs.org/content/view/120/59/

BTW Most of your questions might be answered by using the search feature of the website.

XP can not natively burn ISO files to CD but you can download many free burning utilites like isorecorder. http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
