C3 to C6 states
 

Hi there. How do I verify processor C6 state is used? Why do I get C3 at most on PowerTOP under Ubuntu 10.10?

Does Linux kernel use C4, 5 and 6 states? Am I right to assume C3 is the deepest state I'm getting because PowerTOP shows 99% of time spent on it and the other 1% below it?

May I suspect of hardware incompatibility with Linux?
CPU is shown reaching C6 on Windows 7 so hardware is capable. Thanks!
