When I run (in KDE), Administration --> Soundcard Detection, 2 is not listed. How do I get it listed there? When running the Skype software it is listed there and I can here the test ringtone and message softly. Nothing via the microphone is detected.

This is all in FC5.

I just ran: # alsamixer -c 2 and set the volume levels. After that kmixer can see the device although soundcard detection still can't. But that's irrelevant
