Buying computer to install linux

Greetings all,

I want to buy a nice simple computer to install linux and I wanted to know if this configuration is good enough. I know its very basic but thats really all I need. All I will use the computer for is music, surfing, emails, forums and writing/reading. Perhaps some basic coding ( I want to learn )But no gaming, no movie/video etc.

This is the configuration

PC-System - dimotion Light LS31
AMD Sempron LE-1100 / 1,9GHz
512 MB DDR2-RAM
80 GB SATA-Festplatte, DVD-ROM
Grafik, Sound, LAN integrated

Should I perhaps get more RAM or more hard disk space?

Please let me know if you can give me a hand on this

Yours respectfully,
Miguel A. Guasch
