Buy dell Notebook: Before or after christmas
 

Hey,

I close to purchasing a new notebook from Dell. I'm sure during the upcoming holidays there will be some pretty good deals. I was wondering if
it's better to get one before or or a little after Christmas?

Dell is a tough brand to buy for Linux because they only sell them online. I much prefer to shop around brick stores, sticking knoppix CDs into whatever box looks best THEN ordering online ;)

It somewhat depends on how you define before and after - if it's Dec 24 vs. Dec 26, I doubt there would be any real difference, but if you're talking mid-Oct vs early February, you'll save money by waiting.

You may also want to consider sources like Ebay or Overstock.com Good luck with it either way
