Burning ISO file to USB flash drive

Hey, Im using Ubuntu-based system, and I have USB flash drive that I burned Arch (I think Arch) on it (burn it with Windows), now I want to burn Debian on the USB flash drive with my Ubuntu-based system, how can I do it ?

I think it's need to format the USB flash drive before its burning the new ISO (because its already have ISO on it)

You can use UNetBootin, http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...99261572,d.cWw.

To use UNetBootin, first format flash drive as FAT32, then run UNetBootin.

I usually use dd to do this. No need to format the drive first, just write the data to the raw device. UNetBootin will set up things like a persistence file, which applies only to the Ubuntu variants last I checked, so no need to make it complicated for Debian.

At a prompt:
Code:
sudo dd if=image_file.iso of=/dev/<device name>
Now, I find some for some reason, some PCs won't boot it if not written with a specific block size. If this is the case, just try again with a block size of 1 Megabyte (always works for me).

Code:
sudo dd if=image_file.iso of=/dev/<device name> bs=1M
