Burn CD with k3b on Liteon 48x24x48


I have installed k3b. But k3bsetup didn't find my CD-RW drive Liteon 48x24x48. It found CD-RW, but only like read device. Why ? Do you have some ideas ?
I want to burn CD in Linux because i most of time in Linux and i hate to be in Win*. Help me don't switch lilo boot loader to Win*. I think you understand me.

presumably you didn't set up scsi emulation for it in your boot loader, this certainly shouldn't have anything to do with k3b itself. search this site for "ide-scsi" of look at the cd writing howto at tldp.org

OK, i will do it. But can you tell me, CD-RW is SCSI device ???

Nah, it's not. ide-scsi is a part of the kernel that makes it act like it's SCSI when it's not. This is useful because most cdwriting programs are written with SCSI in mind.

I have disabled SCSI in kernel. Now i must enable it if i want to burn CDs ?

Yes. As well as SCSI cd-rom support. Read the HOWTO at tldp.org and it will tell you everything you need to do.
