Building Dilemma
After many years I am now ready to build a new system. I would like to build around a Ryzen CPU with built in graphics.I read contradictory accounts of whether or not it will support Ubuntu. I would hate to have Windows as my only operating system. Anybody have experience using these components?
Thanks

You do need a distro with a recent kernel, but other than that there seem to be no problems:

The reported problems I've found were with Ubuntu 16 with the 4.4 kernel.

daniell,
A friend used this AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor (rated at 7330) with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics, plus an ASRock motherboard:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASRock-B450...mputers&sr=1-1
He used Kubuntu 19.10 which has the 5.3 kernel. This combo worked out of the box.
NB Some motherboards need their BIOS updating in order to function correctly with certain AMD Ryzen CPUs.
One UK supplier stated:
"Purchase a B450/X470 motherboard, Ryzen 3000 series processor, and our BIOS Update Service, and we'll update the motherboard to the latest BIOS before shipping for FREE (normally £9.99)".
