Building alsa moudles error in debian wheezy?

I want to build the alsa modules from source in debian wheezy with the command:
Quote:
sudo module-assistant a-i alsa
but get this error:
Quote:
│ In file included from rate.c:2:0:
│ /usr/src/modules/alsa-driver/include/adriver.h:39:27: fatal error:
│ linux/version.h: No such file or directory
│ compilation terminated.
│ make[5]: *** [fastdep] Error 1
│ make[5]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver/acore/oss'
│ make[4]: *** [_sfdep_oss] Error 2

│ make[1]: *** [build-stamp] Error 2
│ make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modules/alsa-driver'
│ make: *** [kdist_image] Error 2
The file version.h is in the:
Quote:
/lib/modules/3.2.0-4-686-pae/build/include/linux/version.h
Quote:
#ls -al /lib/modules/3.2.0-4-686-pae/build
version.h -> include/linux/version.h
Quote:
/usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h
Quote:
/usr/src/linux-headers-3.2.0-4-686-pae/include/linux/version.h

linux/version.h is one of the linux kernel headers. Install the kernel header package for your system.

Have a look at the README & INSTALL files also, and see what other dependencies are required. Hth
