Buffer I/O error on dev sde, logical block 0, async page read

Hello. I have a lenovo laptop (x1 carbon 4th gen) running luks encrypted debian. It was working fine until I replaced the battery. After rebooting the disk failed to load debian and stopped working. It was shown at bios but I could not mount it and open the partitions. I have connected the disk (m2 ssd) to another laptop with a usb adapter, in order mount the drive, decrypt the partition and recover my data, but I get the following message:

USB adapters can be iffy. Before replacing the drive, you can try putting it back in the original slot and booting from a live distro to see if you have better luck.

I have already tried that before using the usb adapter. The behaviour was the same though.
