buffalo bluetooth wireless internet adapter ubuntu lucid

To whom it may concern,

I just got a buffalo bluetooth wireless internet adapter and I need to find out if it can work. I am a linux noob and am using ubuntu lucid lynx, where should I start? Your help is greatly appreciated.

The adapter is working and the network I want is detected, but when I try to put the password in wicd it says to me that it's not the right password? What can I do in the command terminal to fix my current problem? Thank you for your help.
