Click on the Product Search Button
Enter your Brother Product Model Name
or search by product type
then click on Supported OS
if Linux is there click on the link Linux Information

This will then inform you with the various files and information of how to use your Brother device on Linux.

Brother printers and Multi-Function devices (print, scan, copy, fax) are rather well supported in Linux by the vendor. However, when they get old, VERY OLD, sometimes hardware issues beyond the control of the vendor get in the way. I ended up purchasing a $5 USB 2.0 card from ebay to get my MFC240C to scan from my new workstation (CentOS 7.3.
