Question Brother MFC-J6920DW invalid rule /etc/udev/rules.d

Hi all, I'm having trouble connecting my Brother MFC-J6920DW to my Dell Latitude E6440 running Salix 15 via our wifi network. I followed the tutorial given here -

https://docs.slackware.com/howtos:ha...r_installation

And all seemed to go well.
However on bootup I get this message (and similar ones too, all pointing to this file)
invalid rule /etc/udev/rules.d/80-brother-brscan4-libsane-type1.rules:9
The multifunction is on a static ip address and works perfectly with Ubuntu and Mint.
Thanks in advance.

It would help if you attached the udev rules file that is giving you trouble. If the file works with Ubuntu, it won't contain any syntax errors, but it may well refer to some facility that slack doesn't have.
