Brother HL-2040 printer cropping margins
I have a Brother HL-2040 laser printer connected via USB to my computer running Ubuntu 6.06. The driver for this printer did not come with Ubuntu, however, Brother has provided an LPR driver and a CUPS driver on their Web site, which I installed.
http://solutions.brother.com/linux/sol/printer/linux/cups_drivers.html http://solutions.brother.com/linux/sol/printer/linux/lpr_drivers.html The bottom lines run off the end of the paper, and text is missing from the left and right sides. I am conserned by the way the bottom margin is chopped that the printer might be printing on itself, thinking that I have longer pages in the printer, but I don't know if this can happen. I have 8.5 x 11 inch paper and tried both the Letter and the A4 settings. I tried printing both a test print and a page from the Mozilla Firefox. I also tried to use the PDD files included on my cd, but I get this error: Code:
