broadcom BCM94306 802.11g NIC
I have just started running linux on my laptop because of school, and so far everything works well except the wireless adapter. The laptop has a Broadcom BCM94306 802.11g NIC installed, but it does not have a driver module listed. I am not sure which driver to choose, or if none of them are correct. Does anybody know what I should do to get it to work?

Please don't bump your own post so quickly; the LQ membership is global, and sometimes it takes more than a few hours to receive a reply. Please wait at least 24 hours before bumping your own thread.

That being said, can you post more details about your machine. Also this article may be of interest. Evidently that NIC uses ndiswrapper. Good luck with it -- J.W.

Try using ndiswrapper:

It works pretty good, and is not too complicated. Broadcom has not released drivers for linux, and to my knowledge will not release any of the spec's so that drivers can be written.
