Brightness control error


Hello every,

I had installed centos 7 directly into laptop and i cannot control brightness it showing same level of brightness in when i increase or decrease the brightness

Laptop model: Lenovo G50-80
CentOS Linux release 7.1.1503 (Core)

i had already tried acpi_listen but not working give me alternative solution as soon as possible

You can start acpid with an option that logs registered events. Put tail -f on syslog, and see if the events are registered.

ACPI events trigger acpi scripts but this is often machine specific and messy. Expect to find errors. but don't expect a painless setup of fine detail.

i am not clear what your saying can you explain detail and give code

Sorry, No. I'm typing with one hand here. If I can't get you to do some basic digging, how are you ever going to figure out an acpi script error?

Try some basic search of the site here 'acpi brightness site:linuxquestions.org' and see if any of the other threads help. Evenadd my handle in as a search term.
