Booting from a USB stick

Hope this is the right section (the only one about Hardware). If not, i ask a moderator to change it.

I have a BenQ A52 laptop (the one in my signature). I have a 2 GB Kingston USB Stick with the latest Slax (the USB version) installed on it. In my BIOS i have the option to boot from "USB Key" and "USB FD". But id doesn't boot.
My desktop (from the signature) and my mom's laptop (Asus A9RP, older than mine and much older) boot fine from the USB Stick, but my BenQ doesn't.

Does anyone who have this kind of laptop or similar, could give me a clue how can I boot from my USB stick?

You enabled USB booting, but did you put the USB device before the hard disc in the boot order? Even though USB booting is enabled, it doesn't mean the machine won't try to boot from something else first.

Yes, I did. I even tried to select the flash drive from the boot menu, but i don't see the flash drive, although, when it boot it does it (at the part where it initialises everything: shows the ram, processor type).
