Bootable CD isolinux+mkisofs does not work

Dear friends.

I made my own bootable CD, from Slackware 10.

I copied the content of /isolinux directory as is, including
the isolinux.bin and isolinux.boot.
I made the ISO with the command on the README
(and everywhere else).
Everythings seems fine, so I burn the CD.

But then ... the CD cannot be booted,
although it can be read.
The isolinux directory is also there, intact.

I have no idea what was going wrong.
Any hints will be appreciated.
