Boot Interrupted Every Time By Cryptic Message Corsair K65 RGB

I have Linux Mint 17.2 installed. Every time I start from power off boot is interrupted by the message I've copied below. It sits there for about 15-20 seconds then boot proceeds normally to the desktop. This doesn't happen on Restart only booting from Shut Down.

I've unplugged all USB devices one by one and have narrowed it down to my keyboard. This is a Corsair K65 RGB connected by USB. For those not familiar with the RGB keyboards they are backlit and have two USB connectors. If connecting by USB2.0 you need to use both connectors (one to power the lights and the other for the keyboard functions). When connecting by USB3.0 you only need to use one connector.

I've tried both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports and I still get the same message at start up. When I try a different keyboard, whether USB or wireless, I don't get this message.

Once the desktop loads the Corsair keyboard works without issues.The backlighting works.
I've hunted through logs and searched online without being any nearer resolving this.

I know this is a minor inconvenience. But I'd like to know if anyone can tell me what causes it, can I set something so that boot isn't delayed by it or even set something that will resolve it?

Here's the message:
[ 12.637800] hid-generic 0003:1B1C:1B17.0002: usb_submit_urb(ctrl) failed: -1

Have you downloaded the distro or bought it?
Hardwareinfo?
Maybe the keyboard does not work correctly anymore.

Try to add this parameter to kernel command line:
Quote:
usbhid.quirks=0x046e:0x6000:0x20000000
046e and 6000 should be replaced with your keyboard vendorID and deviceID. You can get it from lsusb output.
