boot from IDE HD problem

I have a SATA Hard disk running linux and windows. I tried to put my old IDE HD drive in my box and the problem is that it keeps booting from thE ide hard disk. I went to bios setup and there is not any option in boot priority to set it to boot from the SATA HD..I want to boot from my SATA drive and have the other as a 2nd drive..
What else should i do?
thanx in advanced

What would happen if you connect your IDE drive as a slave (secondary drive) to your SATA? Would your PC then boot from the primary drive?
