booktree tv tuner card acting up. Please help.

hey all.. I just got a tv capture card and it won't lemme watch tv!! I can watch from my composite video inputs, But not the cable.

I believe the software I am using is called XawTV.. I din't think that it autodetected my channels rite. Any way on re-coooonfiguring this?

Thankyou.

it's a hell of a lot easier to just define your channels yourself in ~/.xawtv:

[BBC1]
channel = 46
fine = 0

[BBC2]
channel = 40
fine = 0

[ITV]
channel = 43
fine = 0

[CH4]
channel = 50
fine = 0

[CH5]
channel = 37
fine = 0

[Video]
channel = 36
fine = 0

saves hassle. shouldn't be too hard to find out what the channels are.

k. I can do that! I was playing aropuund with that. The card works well in windows, and linux detects it as the tview99.. so it is just setting up the program..

Thanks..

make sure you gvive fbtv a go as well, it's part of the xawtv package, adn uses the same config file, but just runs full screen outside of xwindows. i like it a lot.
