Board data and xmbmon/mbmon output

Hi,

First post, and dead absolute newbie with this.

This is both hardware and software - I thought that I'd try the hardware forum first - I hope that this is the right place?

I have a ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe board with a Athlon XP Barton 2500+ using stock CPU cooling. Power supply is a Antec TruePower 480. All fan slots are being used with stock case fans. Minimal peripherals: a PCI Trident video card, LiteOn CD-RW, and Fujitsu 8 GIG 5400 RPM ATA drive. RedHat 9 is the OS. I am prototyping several servers on this box, but since I am planning on OC'ing it, it will not be a production server box.

I need to make some decisions on OC'ing, power, and cooling. I am running mbmon to get information on the motherboard, which uses the ASB100 Bach on SMB. lm_sensors didn't work correctly, but mbmon seems to be giving consistent readings.

However, I have questions about the output. I know that these are dumb questions, but I want to know exactly what the readings are.

1. Is TEMP0 the motherboard?
2. What do TEMP1 and TEMP2 measure?
3. Which fans are FAN0 and FAN2? Why is there no FAN1 reading?
4. Why are there two core voltages listed?
5. Are the 12-Volt rail readings within acceptable limits?

[yurgis /]# mbmon -r
TEMP0 : 50.0
TEMP1 : 25.0
TEMP2 : 26.0
FAN0 : 6081
FAN1 : 0
FAN2 : 3013
VC0 : +1.68
VC1 : +1.68
V33 : +3.31
V50P : +4.95
V12P : +11.43
V12N : -10.46
V50N : -4.51

Thanks,

Phil
