Bluetooth not turning on in Lenovo-G510 Linux Mint Cinamon 17.2 ?

The Bluetooth adapter is there,
but when I turn my bluetooth on, it still says,
"Bluetooth is disabled",
and exiting and entering the same menu makes Bluetooth go back to its OFF state.

okay, since this is one of those threads waiting by the roadside to be picked up...
I'd try the followin: a live CD. Fedora perhaps, pretty complete, or Puppy. If Puppy does'nt find it...it's probably not even in there...because it'll detect your shoe size as soon as you stand too close to the PC :)
Perhaps it's a hardware fail...

Ow....okay, tried it with (say) Puppy?
Let's rule out the OS...

Wrong question :) - it should read "will Puppy get the bluetooth up n running?" - and the answer is: possibly.
As soon as I encounter a problem like that, I boot the system up with Puppy and let that loose on the system. It yet has to come up with a message that it found something it does'nt understand :) trust me....
The idea is simple, if Puppy does find and start the Bluetooth, chances are your Mint is not configured to start Bluetooth...if it fails...your hardware is "kaputt" and the search ends there...
Of course, since ***dows does get the thing running...but, it goes the way a tablet went. the original OS did get touch going, I never got Linux to "feel the touch" :D could be that the Bluetooth is pretty "exotic" :)
In the mean time...I could install Mint 17.2 on a bluetooth-holding system...but...I ran out off test boxes...sorry
