block-major-29 probs


I have a 52x samsung cdrom attached .. i had to uncleanly shutdown the machine a couple of times .coz the keyboard stopped responding etc etc.. after that when i boot up modprobe says that it cant locate block-major-29.. ! i checked up to find that block-major-29 is someting related to aztek cdroms ..how do i fix this problem ? ..is it safe to prevent the kernel loading that module ? if so how can i do it ?

If you don't have an aztek cdrom you can ignore this error message.

You can put the line:

alias block-major-29 off

in /etc/modules.conf ...
