Black screen after X server shutdown

HI,

I'm having problem with my NB Acer 234LC. I've installed Slackware 10.0. When I run X server (X.org), everything works fine. But when I switch to text console (Ctrl+Alt+F2) or I just shutdown X server, screen goes black. The computer keeps running normally (I can execute commands in console), but nothing is visible. I've tried to turn display off and back on (by the means of hardware - keystroke on NB), but it didn't help either. Does anybody know how to solve this? Thanks for any help.
