Best Wireless Ethernet?

What Wireless Ethernet Adapter would be the best for my Laptop: I'm running Red Hat 9 and my Xircom Wireless Adapter 1120 seems not to work. Would I need to buy another one or would my old one work?

If you'd like to get the Xircom working, could you please post some info (with the card plugged in)
lcpci -v
cardctl ident
and the fccid (if any printed on the card (perhaps in small print). the fccid might give a clue as to the chipset inside the device.
